The cost or errors and frustration about picking the wrong products for shipment can be avoided by picking by barcode with error free results. A pick list or sales order copy can have the correct barcodes for each SKU. The operator in the warehouse or shipping location carries a small mobile device with an integrated scanner, the Golden Barcode Comparator (GB12).
The operator reads the barcode on the pick list and then the barcode on the product to be picked. If they match the display is in green with a pleasant beep. If they do not match the display is in red with a loud unpleasant sound, assuring no errors.
